Privacy & visitor insights
Scribe uses first-party analytics to understand which tools people use and improve the website. Only the site owner can access the analytics dashboard.
What is recorded
- Pages visited, visit times, referring website domain, browser, operating system and approximate device type.
- Approximate country and region when supplied by the hosting service, plus your browser’s time-zone setting. These can be inaccurate, particularly with VPNs.
- A random ID stored for the life of a browser-tab session, used to estimate visitor sessions.
- When you are signed in: your Scribe account ID, account name and email alongside visit activity. The owner can also see profile creation dates and saved-project counts.
Analytics do not store your IP address, GPS coordinates, search queries, inscription text, images, contact message contents, keystrokes or full browsing history. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.
Your analytics preference
Basic first-party analytics are enabled in this browser.
This preference applies to this browser. Clearing browser storage resets it. We also honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Opting out does not affect the editor or your saved work.
Retention and limits
Visit records are kept for up to 90 days and cleared on the next analytics request. Your profile and saved work are stored separately and are not removed by this analytics retention period. Session totals are estimates: separate tabs, privacy choices and browser settings affect the count.
Supporting Scribe
The support button loads Ko-fi’s widget when you approach the bottom of a page. Choosing it opens Ko-fi in a new tab, where Ko-fi handles any support payment under its own terms and privacy policy. Scribe does not collect payment details.
Accounts, saved work and contact
Signing in with ChatGPT lets Scribe associate your profile and saved work with your account. Saved inscriptions remain accessible through your own library. The contact form sends your name, email and message through Form.taxi to Scribe’s inbox so Aaron can respond. Read Form.taxi’s privacy information.
